Amanda Berman first met Ritchie Torres on stage in January 2019. The city councilman, who represents the South Bronx, was speaking on a panel alongside Berman and other young progressives to discuss the Women’s March. “I had goosebumps immediately,” Berman, the founder of Zioness, recalled.
