Sarah Rueven is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, wellness expert and women’s health advocate. She is the founder of Rooted Wellness, a nutrition counseling practice dedicated to maternal and family health. In her practice, Sarah supports clients in areas such as preconception, fertility, PCOS, prenatal and postpartum health. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics at New York University and her Bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University.
Beyond private counseling, she also provides wellness seminars, group education and is a nationally recognized contributor to media outlets such as the New York Times, Refinery 29, Self Magazine, and New York Magazine. Sarah is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Greater New York Dietetics Association, and the Women’s Health Practice Group. She is a medical advisor for Love Wellness, a women’s health company.
In addition to her professional work, Sarah holds several volunteer positions. She currently serves on the NYC Jewish Parent Leadership council, a grassroots organization of parents fighting antisemitism in K-12 Independent schools. She is the co-chair of the Jewish Affinity Group at Village Community School. Sarah also serves on the Leadership Council of Planned Parenthood of Greater New York. For over a decade, Sarah has served in various capacities (past board chair and current advisory board) at Slingshot, a nonprofit organization working to develop the capacity of next-generation Jewish funders to support innovative programs and organizations, provide resources to leverage their impact within the Jewish community and help develop their philanthropic capabilities. She has also served on the Brandeis University Alumni Association and the Young Couples Circle at UJA Federation of New York. Sarah lives in NYC with her husband, Dan, and their two young kids.
