Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, a Reform Synagogue in Short Hills, is excited to welcome Amanda Berman, the Founder and Executive Director of Zioness, a new initiative empowering and activating Zionists on the progressive left to stand proudly in social justice spaces as Jews and Zionists. Before she founded Zioness, Amanda was a civil rights attorney fighting anti-Semitism legally, and she has written on Jewish and civil rights issues across various mediums and outlets. She has spoken and presented before diverse audiences including Hadassah, JNF, B’nei Brith, Jewish Federation, AIPAC, JCRC, Hillel, and many others. No matter one’s political viewpoints, Amanda’s story is powerful and her work for Zionism and the Jewish people is inspiring. We are thrilled to welcome her to our community.
