Izzi Greenberg

Chief Impact Strategist

Izzi Greenberg serves as the Chief Impact Strategist for Zioness.  She has worked for over two decades in community organizing, policy advocacy, and coalition-building. She has dedicated her career to fighting so that children, families, and underserved communities have the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.

Izzi served as Executive Director of multiple non-profit organizations dedicated to community revitalization and improving conditions for children, spearheading efforts to address childhood hunger, improve child care, revitalize neighborhoods, and expand affordable housing. She has extensive experience in child care advocacy, leading communications and outreach strategies to amplify the voices of families and providers and transform child care at the legislative level.

Alongside her executive leadership, Izzi has driven numerous civic and legislative initiatives, including the Middletown Racial Justice Coalition and the Mayor’s Childhood Hunger Task Force. Her impact has been recognized through honors such as the Middlesex County NAACP Phenomenal Woman Award, the Middletown Mayor’s Award for Community Service, and the Middletown Press “Person of the Year.”

Izzi earned her BA in Government from Wesleyan University after completing an AA in General Studies at Middlesex Community College. In addition to her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, coaching a youth women’s mountain bike team, and will soon begin a master’s program in food history.
