Zioness Repro Shabbat: Advancing Reproductive Justice as a Jewish Value

Zioness held an inspiring Repro Shabbat over Zoom on Wednesday, February 19th at 8pm ET/5pm PT, exploring the intersection of Jewish values, reproductive freedom, and the fight against anti-Zionism in reproductive spaces. This year’s panel featured Sophie Nir, CEO of the Abortion Positivity Project, Allison Korman, Founder of the Red Tent Fund, and Rabbi Lindsey Danziger of the Ohio Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism. Together, they shared their work, discussed challenges, and highlighted Judaism’s deep connection to reproductive justice.

Moderated by Zioness Founder and CEO Amanda Berman, this conversation was part of the National Council of Jewish Women’s Repro Shabbat, honoring reproductive freedom as a core Jewish value and reflecting on Parshat Mishpatim, a Torah portion often cited as the foundation for Judaism’s approach to reproductive health. This event provided a valuable opportunity for meaningful dialogue and engagement on the fight for reproductive rights while addressing stigma and anti-Zionism.
