Chidera Anugwom (she/her) joins the Zioness team as Program Manager, responsible for handling the logistics and programming for constituency groups within Zioness including the Pride Fellowship, the Zahav Fellowship for Black Jewish Zionists, and the Zioness Jewish Clergy Council. After participating in Zioness’s inaugural Zahav Fellowship pilot cohort in 2023, Chidera is excited to join the Zioness team.
Prior to joining Zioness, Chidera was a Peace Corps Volunteer where she served in Central Africa as a Community Health Specialist in a rural community. As a Peace Corps volunteer, one of the activities Chidera organized was in collaborating with other Peace Corps Volunteers and local leaders to organize a “Girls Camp,” bringing the American tradition of summer camp to Central Africa in order to empower young teen girls with the tools to become successful young women.
Chidera truly believes in living life as your authentic self which is why Chidera so strongly believes in the mission of Zioness to be unapologetically progressive and unapologetically Zionist.
